As a fully qualified ISTD dance teacher in Ballet, Tap and Modern, I bring specialist knowledge, professional training and passion for developing dancers to their fullest potential. My qualifications reflect years of dedicated study and practical teaching experience, ensuring that every class is delivered with expertise, structure, and purpose.
I have an in-depth understanding of dance technique, performance skills, musicality, choreography, and safe dance practice. This enables me to identify each student's strengths, support areas for development, and adapt my teaching to suit different learning styles and abilities. Whether teaching beginners or advanced dancers, I am committed to helping every student build strong technical foundations while developing confidence, artistry, and a genuine love of dance.
Through my ISTD qualifications, I stay aligned with industry standards and proven teaching methods, ensuring students receive high-quality dance education that prepares them for examinations, performances, and future opportunities within the dance world.
Bird College
From 2017 to 2020, I trained at Bird College, one of the UK's leading performing arts institutions, where I graduated with a degree in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre. My training provided a comprehensive education across a wide range of dance disciplines, including ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, commercial dance, and musical theatre performance.
Throughout my degree, I developed exceptional technical ability, performance skills, and professional discipline through intensive vocational training. Alongside dance, I studied acting, singing, choreography, anatomy, and performance psychology, giving me a well-rounded understanding of the performing arts industry and the demands placed upon dancers and performers.
Training in a professional conservatoire environment allowed me to work with industry-leading practitioners and gain valuable experience in performance, collaboration, and creative development. This intensive training not only refined my technical and artistic abilities but also enhanced my communication, leadership, and teaching skills.
My degree provides me with a unique combination of professional performance experience and educational expertise, enabling me to inspire, motivate, and develop the next generation of dancers with confidence, knowledge, and authenticity.
E J Choreography
Elise Jade Choreography was founded with a passion for creating innovative, impactful, and competitive dance works that allow dancers to excel both artistically and technically. Drawing upon professional training, performance experience, and extensive teaching expertise, I create bespoke choreography that showcases each dancer's individual strengths while developing confidence, performance quality, and technical excellence.
My choreography has achieved success at regional, national, and international levels, with dancers consistently placing highly at prestigious competitions throughout the UK. Choreographic works have received numerous awards, adjudicator recognition, and special performance accolades across a variety of dance genres.
A particular highlight of my choreographic career has been guiding dancers to qualify for and represent Team England at the Dance World Cup in both 2025 and 2026. The Dance World Cup is one of the world's largest and most prestigious international dance competitions, bringing together talented dancers from across the globe. Having multiple dancers selected to represent their country is a testament to the high standard of training, dedication, and artistry that underpins my work.
Alongside international success, my dancers have achieved outstanding results at All England Dance competitions, progressing through regional qualifiers and earning places at national finals. These achievements reflect not only technical excellence but also the creativity, storytelling, and performance quality that are at the heart of every routine I create.
My choreographic approach combines strong technical foundations with originality, musicality, and emotional connection, ensuring that every piece is both competitive and memorable. Whether creating solos, duets, trios, quartets, or group performances, my aim is always to inspire dancers to perform with confidence, authenticity, and passion while reaching their fullest potential.
Through Elise Jade Choreography, I continue to develop award-winning routines and support dancers in achieving success on local, national, and international stages.
Leicester Dance Associates
We are proud to announce the news of Leicester Dance Associates - an elite Leicester based associated programme for all dancers to broaden and expand their training and skills in the world of dance. The programme will run one Sunday a month starting September 2026 and sessions will be ran by professional dance educators.
Our sessions will run at TheatreWorks Leicester and students receive the highest standard of instruction, combining technical excellence with a supportive environment for growth and artistic expression.
We pride ourselves on ensure that the dancers have a space that is safe for them to learn and grow in their own way.

Empower Dance Events is a company ran to ensure there is a competition space in the East Midlands that provides an empowering environment for dancers to thrive and grow.
We run multiple events throughout the year and have had an extremely successful 2 years of events.
